Kelly Clarkson Finally Covers “Call Me Maybe” During Concert
Kelly Clarkson has done a LOT of songs during the fan request portion of her tour. However, there is one song in particular that she has gotten several requests for but hasn’t done… until now!
Kelly covered “Call Me Maybe“ at the Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania this weekend.
Kelly asked the audience, “Oh my gosh, I love that song. But it kind of confuses me. Does it confuse anyone else? Before you came into my life I missed you so bad.’ Who did you miss? Because you didn’t know them?”
Ha! We definitely agree. But oh well, it’s catchy and we love it!

Glee to Cover “Call Me Maybe”
It looks as though everyone wants a piece of Carly Rae Jepsen.
Glee will be doing a cover of Carly Rae’s hit “Call Me Maybe” during the season 4 premiere episode on September 13. Entertainment Weekly reported that the name of the episode will be called “The New Rachel” and focuses on how each of the characters are doing post-graduation.
With X Factor, Glee and The Voice all premiering in the same week, our heads may just explode!

“Call Me Maybe” Spends the Most Weeks at Number One In 2012
There is just no stopping Carly Rae Jepsen! Her debut single, “Call Me Maybe”, is still smashing on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
The song has just spent its NINTH week at number one, which means that it has held the top position longer than any other song so far in 2012. Gotye‘s “Somebody That I Used to Know” was number one for eight weeks.
Her song “Good Time” isn’t doing too bad, either. We wonder if it will smash as much as “Call Me Maybe”. Time will tell.

“Call Me Maybe” Tied for Most Weeks at Number One in 2012
There is certainly no denying that Carly Rae Jepsen has experience massive success with her debut single “Call Me Maybe”. This week, Carly’s song spends its eighth week on top of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, tying it with Gotye’s hit “Somebody I Used to Know” for the most weeks at number one so far in 2012.
Other songs that have made it to number one this year include LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” (2 weeks), Adele’s “Set Fire to Rain” (2 weeks), Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” (3 weeks), Katy Perry’s “Part of Me” (2 weeks) and Fun.’s “We are Young” (6 weeks).
Here’s to hoping that Carly can last at least one more week!
